For the second time this year, our University opened its doors to welcome more than 50 international candidates and their families during our Open Day, an event allowing visitors to explore our campus and learn more about our undergraduate programmes and the admission process.

All the faculties and university services got involved in the event, offering prospective students accurate information about CEU Valencia and the different career paths our degrees lead to. Candidates from Sweden, France, Italy, Uruguay or even Iceland had the opportunity to learn more about their chosen degree, discover the exciting activities Campus Life offers and visit our facilities on a private guided tour!

International candidates can be confident that during our Open Days they will find everything they need to know about their course and also get a real sense of what studying with us means.  As part of the largest privately-owned educational institution in Spain, CEU Valencia offers more than 6000 internship agreements, a wide arrange of bilingual degrees and pathways, mobility opportunities and all the academic resources and equipment needed to to produce graduates of real value on an intellectual, professional and human level.

During our last event, the International Relations Office ran a series of sessions, touching on the following topics:

  • An introduction to University CEU Cardenal Herrera
  • Valencia as a student destination
  • Admission process for international candidates
  • Fees and finance
  • Hospitality services

On this occasion, our visitors were also able to view a selection of student residences and speak directly to our students and staff. To parents worried about their children’s wellbeing and integration during their time at CEU, our Campus Life team offered an overview of the different activities in which students can get involved and clubs or societies they can join, as well as information on the support given to them in case of need.

And since choosing a University is not just an academic decision, but also a very personal one that can really change your life, we wanted to ask a couple of our visitors about their motivation to choose Valencia as the city for their University years. Narjis, for instance, came from France to our Open Day and decided to spend the rest of her days in the city to look for an apartment and get everything ready for September, when she will be starting her degree in Political Science: “It’s a degree that has always caught my attention. In France it’s more difficult to get accepted as the selection process is much harder than here. The academic programme is almost the same, and Spain is a country that I know very well because I have had the chance to visit it every year… I always thought that one day, I would come here to study and now I’m here!“, she told us.

I plan on making the most of my experience here: Studying, of course, but also learning languages and getting to know Spanish culture a little better“, said Ellen, who came with her parents from Sweden to take a tour of our new Faculty of Health Sciences. She is one of the students who will be joining our Medicine Degree next year, one of the most demanded ones and with more career prospects internationally.

An innovative development strategy has turned CEU Valencia into the most international university in the region. More than 2300 international students have already chosen CEU Valencia to pursue their studies, representing 33% of all the students at our institution, which has a clear focus on preparing students for today’s globalized world. We hope that international visitors to our Open Day enjoyed their time with us and will consider us as an option for their future studies!
