The CEU Cardinal Herrera University has signed a collaboration agreement with Rex Sport, a Spanish non-profit association made up of world-class lawyers and specialists in sports law. This agreement will lead to the joint launch of the “Rex Sport – CEU-UCH Executive Online Master in International Sport Law” in January 2018, which will be taught in English.

This new programme is a more extensive and complete version of the Executive Online Master Programme, enhancing its academic content, and it will be taught by highly prestigious lawyers in the field of international sports law, arbitrators from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and leading figures from sporting organizations such as FIFA, UEFA, WADA, CAS and the IOC. The programme will provide students with the skills they need to develop their career in international sports law and its online format will enable them to combine their studies with employment commitments.

Commenting on the programme, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the CEU Cardinal Herrera University, Joaquín Marco, wished to highlight the importance of this agreement for the professional development of those interested in international sports law: “by working with Rex Sport, we can offer a specific programme tailored to the needs of those who wish to further their careers at law firms specializing in sports law or at sporting organizations at national and international level across the world.”

On behalf of Rex Sport, Efraim Barak, who is also the Academic Director of the programme, had the following to say: “At Rex Sport and Rex Sport Academy we are very proud to launch this new and improved Master Programme with the CEU Cardinal Herrera University, a university of the highest standing and reputation. As we are the founders, designers and creators of the successful online Master Programme and are able to draw upon the wide expertise we possess, we can now offer a more extensive programme, including more material and in-person meetings at which it will be possible for the students to receive tutorials and to undertake practical training. We are convinced that we can not only repeat the success of the previous programme but go much further, as the programme has now been enhanced and is more up to date, which will benefit the students greatly.

The signing of this collaboration agreement by the Rector of the CEU Cardinal Herrera University, Rosa Visiedo, and Efraim Barak, on behalf of Rex Sport, enabling the “Rex Sport – CEU-UCH Executive Online Master in International Sport Law” to go ahead, is the first step of a new and exciting period.
