The Diadora jury issued the award to Miguel Gómez, who does a dual degree program in Law and Business Administration and Management at our university’s campus in Elche.

Miguel is co-founder and chairman of basketball club Faro Gran Alacant, he did the program in Entrepreneurship at the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), he spent some time abroad as an Erasmus student, he achieved the highest rating of his year for his final degree project, he co-organized the basketball summer camp ‘Campus La Marina’ and coached the players, he speaks several languages and still sets new challenges for himself.

Miguel Gómez will spend a day in Italy with the Diadora chairman. “It is a coaching experience at the highest possible level. It will allow him to spend a day with the President of a big corporation. Witness high management from the front row. See how management techniques are implemented, how leadership and innovation are present in a big firm”, says Javier Gran, professor at CEU-UCH’s degree in Business Administration and coordinator of CEU Emprende in Elche.

In order to participate in the challenge, students of any degree at CEU Cardenal Herrera University had to find a solution to the problem of inexperienced young professionals accessing the labour market.

Before Miguel was proclaimed as winner of the Diadora Challenge, the day was filled with activities:

First, CEU-UCH rector Rosa Visiedo and Diadora chairman Enrico Moretti Polegato handed out certificates to the participants in the Diadora Challenge.
Then, Mr Moretti participated in the briefing to the competition Winner-Decide, organized by the Faculty of Communication at CEU-UCH.
After that, there was an expert roundtable on sports brands in the Palacio de Colomina. Our special guest Enrico Moretti spoke on the role of brands in sporting events.

We thank all for their participation and motivation!
