The president of the IONA College in New York, Dr. Joseph E. Neyre, visited the central offices of the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera, this morning, in order to sign a collaboration agreement, in addition to the other agreements signed by the rest of the institutions belonging to the CEU Foundation.

The American committee was welcomed by the vice chancellor of the CEU-UCH, Rosa Visiedo; the International Relations Vice-Rector, Iñaki Bilbao; and the University Registrar, José Amiguet, amongst other academic authorities.

Common interests

The agreement reinforces the international alliance between the CEU foundation and IONA College, which the Abat Oliba, secured last November in New York.

This alliance, which was put in place through the internationalization strategy of the CEU foundation, strengthens the connections between two institutions that originate from Catholic partnerships and whose objective is to create a university community that goes beyond simply professional and academic purposes.

The agreement will allow amongst other things, for both of these organisations to collaborate in research projects, international mobility and courses to encourage both language and cultural exchanges.
