40 experts from the USA, Italy, Poland and Finland, among other countries, addressed the challenges of the labour market, the viability of pension systems, the financial “bubble” and the key of entrepreneurship in the current international economic environment.
Carlos Escario, vice-president of UTi Worldwide and partner of Huete&Co, opened the international conference in the Palacio de Colomina in Valencia. The conference is organised by CEU Cardenal Herrera University from Valencia and Saint John’s University and Southern New Hampshire University from North America. More than forty university professors and researchers of seven nationalities have addressed the perspectives of economic recovery on an international level.
The experts invited to this international conference at CEU-UCH have analysed concrete areas of global economy, such as: luxury tourism and the influence of big brands on sustainability; the restatement of financial markets in the context of the financial “bubble”; economic viability and tendencies of pension systems on an international level and the challenges of the labour market in terms of flexibility, time management, gender equality and the importance of emotional competence in the workplace. There is also a session dedicated to the study of more competitive entrepreneurial trends on an international level and the role of universities in its promotion.
International Experts
The international conference, headed by Igor Tomic of Saint John’s University under the theme “Global recovery: visions of change and stability”, has been opened by the vice-rector of Investigation and International Relations at CEU Cardenal Herrera University, Iñaki Bilbao. It involves the participation of researchers in the financial and economy sector from the three organising universities and City University of New York (CUNY), Coastal Carolina University (USA), the Economic Sciences faculty at Katowice University (Poland), Bolonia University (Italy), the University of the Philippines, the Far Easter University of Manila (Philippines) and the Canadian University of Dubai (Arab Emirates).
The following professors have participated on behalf of CEU Cardenal Herrera University: María Pilar García Alcober, Ruth Abril and Salvatore Moccia.
Representatives of North American Business Schools New School of Social Research and Max Stern Academic College of Emek Yezreel have also take part, as well as Oulu Business School in Finland.
