The educational seminar on European protection of children’s rights was organized by Jean Monnet School of the Italian university and by the ‘Instituto Euro-latinoamericano de Estudios para la Integración’ (IELEPI).
On 10th and 11th March, the professor of International Public Law at University CEU Cardenal Herrera, Susana Sanz Caballero, visited the Università degli Studi di Perugia in Italy to give a lecture on European protection of human rights with special focus on children’s rights. The lecture was aimed at judges, public attorneys, lawyers and court officials of different Latin-American countries, for example Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Peru.
The lecture of Susana Sanz, professor of Law at University CEU Cardenal Herrera, formed part of educational seminar series organized by Jean Monnet School of the Università degli Studi di Perugia, led by professor Roberto Cippitani, on this occasion in collaboration with the ‘Instituto Euro-latinoamericano de Estudios para la Integración’ (IELEPI), intended to promote integration activities in Europe and America. Professor Cippitani has recently taken part in the International Law Week held in University CEU Cardenal Herrera, coordinated by professor Sanz.
Trainee at the General Court of Umbria
Professor Susana Sanz Caballero took the opportunity of being in Perugia to visit the General Court of the Umbria region, situated at the town of Umbria, to meet a 3rd year student of Political Science Rosa Estevan, who is doing her internship at this institution.
Professor Sanz also had the opportunity to meet Rosa’s internship tutor Rosalba Iannucci, the head of the Student Service of this regional Italian parliament with which CEU-UCH holds a cooperation agreement to enable student internships. These international internships allow the CEU-UCH students of Law and of Political Science to get a hands-on experience of the functioning of regional Italian parliaments and compare it with the functioning of local parliaments in Spain.
