Antonio Peiró-Camaró, CEU Cardenal Herrera Computer Engineering graduate, spent two years living and working in Australia. After leaving his job as an engineer en Barcelona, he decided to travel to Australia to start his own business in collaboration with three friends: an advice page for Spanish people who are looking for work and training opportunities in the country. The help of their Information Systems lecturer at CEU-UCH, Aurelio Pons, has been important in the process. The website www.growproaustralia.com has already reached 5000 hits.

GrowProAustralia. Point your life in the right direction”. This is how Antonio Peiró-Camaró and his partners have named their comprehensive support platform for those who choose Australia as a destination for developing their career paths. Free advice is provided through the site for job searching and adapting your curriculum to Australian standards, as well as managing your visa and helping you choose the right training courses. The customer service provided via the site is personalised, and the team has already started to expand their sales network so that they can have a GrowPro ambassador in several cities throughout the country.

As well as the collaboration from CEU-UCH lecturer Aurelio Pons with the site´s design, Antonio Peiró-Camaró also relied on the help of a group of students from Mr Pons´ Electronic Commerce class. The students carried out an e-marketing campaign for GrowProAustralia, working with SEO/SEM and web metrics. This campaign, plus the promotion on Facebook and the CEU-UCH IT blog has attracted many visitors to the site. GrowProAustralia has now reached 5,000 views.
