The principal objective of the Cathedra will be promoting <strong>research and carrying out studies and scientific work in the field of cancer treatment<\/strong>, which J\u00e1vea C\u00e1ncer Care will invest a total of \u20ac260,000 euros towards between 2013 and 2017. For the development of research projects, the Cathedra will be based at the Marina Salud de D\u00e9nia Hospital. The aim of the three parties is to promote<strong> research in the field of personalised pharmacotherapy for cancer patients<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-96844\" src=\"https:\/\/medios.uchceu.es\/actualidad-ceu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/05\/ConvCatedraCancerCEU-UCH-JaveaCareCentre-e13675758141481.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2197\" height=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The scientific work of the Cathedra will be aimed towards the design of a Personalised Cancer Medicine Programme, for which CEU Cardenal Herrera will provide a <strong>Pharmacotherapy and Personalisation in Cancer Laboratory<\/strong>: the \u201cFPOlab\u201d. This laboratory, located in the Marina Salud de Denia Hospital, will have the necessary equipment for the development of studies in the fields of pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics and pharmacokinetics.<\/p>\n<p>The members of the Cathedra are Doctors Joan Manel Gassent Blesa, oncologist at Marina Salud de Denia Hospital, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchceu.es\/directorio\/iperez\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ignacio P\u00e9rez Roger<\/a>, head researcher of <strong>CEU Cardenal Herrera\u00b4s Cancer Development Research Group<\/strong>. Both will be responsable for organising and coordinating the Cathedra\u00b4s activities, as well as allocating teams which will collaborate with CEU-UCH lecturers. The academic registrar of the Cathedra will be Doctor Miguel Peris and the ethics committee will be chaired by Doctor Jos\u00e9 Quintana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More information at <\/strong><strong><span
