Mireia Garc\u00eda Rosell\u00f3\u00a0is the director of the new Clinical Veterinary Referral Hospital<\/strong> of University CEU Cardenal Herrera. Doctor in\u00a0Veterinary<\/a>, with a specialist degree in Surgery of small animals, she has been working at the current Veterinary Hospital\u00a0since 2008, and function director of it\u00a0since 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we begin a new stage. It is an exciting challenge, but we are all part of the Hospital, and I have faith in the team of professionals we have worked together with and followed on this project. I have worked in the CEU UCH hospital<\/strong> as veterinary since 2008. We have worked on all of the quality processes, we have increased the services and timetables\u2026we have seen it grow. One of the main strengths of the new hospital is all of the professionals who have worked here for almost 20 years<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The new Clinical Veterinary Referral Hospital\u00a0<\/strong>of University CEU Cardenal Herrera<\/strong> multiplies its capacity of attention to Pet Animals and incorporates the clinical attention of Large Animals, \u201cespecially horses<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Amongst the future objectives, the director of the new\u00a0CEU UCH<\/a> Vet Hospital\u00a0wishes to \u201cimprove the clinical practice of quality for the students, offering support to the research projects of the different departments of the University, not just Veterinary, and position ourselves as a hospital of reference<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mireia Garc\u00eda\u00a0has noted that the Hospital \u201cis the support for the practices of the Faculty of Veterinary<\/a>. The students of CEU Cardenal Herrera University carry out practices in the Hospital from the first year of the degree<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The new facilities will also allow increasing spaces and possibilities in the area of research. The\u00a0Faculty of Veterinary\u00a0of CEU UCH\u00a0has 11 lines of research in Veterinary<\/strong>, as well as the Garc\u00eda Cugat Lectureship\u00a0\u201ccreated by the Garc\u00eda Cugat Foundation and CEU UCH<\/strong>, to drive research of treatments with stem cells and factors of growth\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are leaders in veterinary research<\/strong>. The objective with opening the new facilities is to make our surgical techniques active (interventional surgery, laparoscopic surgery\u2026) and this year we are also going to focus on cataracts surgery for little and large animals. The ultimate objective is the health and safety of the animals<\/em>\u201d, she highlights.<\/p>\n
